[With Original Box] Omega Seamaster “Jumbo” 36.5mm Ref.166.011 Cal.565 1966

Up for sale here is a brilliant example of a vintage Omega Seamaster "Jumbo" Reference

166.011 coming in at 36.5mm and with its original box, which is rare to find for Omegas of this age.

Starting with the dial, the dial comes with a beautiful silver sunburst effect with crisp OMEGA lettering printed on the dial. It comes with the signature raised Omega logo that matches the surrounding hour markers with the black inserts. The hour markers themselves are paired with a beautiful set of Dauphine hands with similar black inserts.

These features all play brilliantly in the light in perfect harmony, creating a mesmerising sight to see. Just to finish it off it comes with a dash of patina giving it that perfect modern/vintage balance.

The case itself comes in the "Jumbo" size at 36.5mm in diameter which was considered large at the time as most men's watches came in 34.0mm or below. The case comes with minor scratches and its fine mirror polish is impeccable. All of its edges have remained sharp and well preserved, never once have they been over-polished by an amateur. The case comes its original Omega signed crown and case back with the iconic Seamaster Hippocampus symbol. This size and designs makes the watch suitable for most wrist sizes from 6inches and above.

The movement runs at an excellent +2.7s/day which is extremely good for a watch of this age. It has been serviced in August 2024 by a professional watchmaker hence its accuracy.

The cal.565 movement is Omega's staple movement of the time and is renown for its reliability with many examples such as this one running keeping accurate time for over half a century.

The watch comes on a genuine leather aftermarket black strap with its original stainless steel Omega clasp.
