Omega Constellation Ref.168.016 COSC Certified Chronometer Cal.751 35.0mm 1969 on Beads of Rice Bracelet

Up for sale here is the absolutely stunning vintage Omega Constellation in a Jumbo size of 35mm from 1969, a brilliant example of Omega’s high end dress watch constellation line.

Its dial comes in a pristine sunburst finish, playing with the light brilliantly with little to no defects. The sunburst dial comes paired with the steel baton hands with its tritium lume and black inserts. Creating a perfect match with the raised and faceted hour markers around the dial, which all come with their original drop of tritium. To top it all off is the Constellation series iconic star logo, which at the right angle reflects light like a star in the nights sky.

The case itself is in near mint condition, maintaining all of its edges and a beautiful faceted mirror polish contrasting the circular polishing of the steel bezel. Turning the case over would reveal the fully polished case-back with the observatory logo, all professionally polished to achieve a beautiful mirror effect.

The watch comes paired with an Omega 1037 stainless steel beads of rice bracelet with number 555 end links, the bracelet on its own in such amazing condition would be worth around $200 on the open market.

Inside the watch rests Omega’s take on a day-date movement, the Cal.751. With its unique quickset feature of adjusting the date by pulling the crown to a third positions whilst adjusting the day of the week by rotating the crown 24hrs using the second position. The movement has been professionally serviced in August 2024 by a professional watchmaker and runs at an excellent +4.0s/day, which is extremely accurate for a watch of this age. Furthermore it comes with a swan neck regulator at its escapement, which provides superb accuracy in regulation. Such a feature is rarely seen in modern Swiss watches at this price point.

To top it all off the watch comes with its original Omega signed acrylic crystal with a miniature Omega symbol engraved right in the middle of the crystal, barely visible to the naked eye.
